“Ancestor, we have already conquered the immortal world!”

My Review

The description said read up to chapter 20 before deciding.

Chapter 25, I felt it was good, even though I don’t like the mecha tag.

Chapter 55, my eyes are getting moist. No idea why.

Chapter 56, “mc instantly drops out of school to focus on the real thing”. Good, nice.

Chapter ??, The story is fast paced. There are too many names, so it’s hard to keep track of who is who.

Chapter 228, I am getting confused and keep forgetting who is who. The storyline isn’t bad—it’s actually good—but I feel lost when character names get mixed up and I don’t know who is talking. So, I am dropping it.

FAQ

Is this novel worth reading?

Up to chapter 55? Yes. After that it depends on how good you are at tracking names. If you’re bad at it like me, maybe keep a notes app open.

Does the MC fight a lot?

Not really. He’s low-key and cautious. Don’t go in expecting action every chapter.

Is the mecha tag a big deal?

I thought it would bother me too. It didn’t, at least early on. Give it a shot even if you skip mecha stuff normally.

Why did you drop it at chapter 228?

Wasn’t a quality issue — the story is actually good. Just too many characters with similar names and I kept losing track of who’s talking. Got tiring.

Should I still try it?

Read to chapter 20 like the description says. If you’re hooked, go. Just mentally prepare for a big cast later.
