Some Thoughts

I started this novel on 16/05/2026 and read up to 355 chapters. Currently, it’s 570 chapters (ongoing) in raw and 440 chapters in translation. I am dropping it because it’s getting a bit boring and it’s not complete; I like reading in one go.

Now let’s talk about my experience with this novel.

The MC transmigrates and gets a cheat that grants him 100 lives to experience. In every life, he saves or helps a girl, she falls in love with him, and after his death, she tries to find him. You ask how? Because the MC is experiencing life in the past, not the future. The MC does not know that, thinking they are all fake. All the previous girls he saved or helped are around him in disguise, and they are super powerful while the MC is a weak chicken.

If the author explains all 100 lives, the novel will become boring; they should add a time skip. The only thing that interests me now is the ending.

The full novel could be explained in one sentence: “Wife Grooming Simulator.” I think the novel would be more popular if they named it this.

Thoughts While Reading:

Chapter 23: “Stinking human! Even if I die, I won’t let you make soup out of me!” How does a snake know about soup? 🍲

Chapter 194: MC’s personality and mindset stay the same. Is this a wife-grooming-by-going-into-the-past simulator?

Chapter 355: It’s getting boring with all that fighting. Seeing that it’s not finished and only 100-some chapters are left in translation, I am going to drop it for now. It’s interesting even though it’s getting boring. I would like to read it, but since it’s still releasing, I will keep it on hold.

FAQ

Q: Do we see all 100 lives?

A: The author is going through them one by one. It’s interesting at first but starts dragging around the mid-100s. A time skip would’ve helped a lot.

Q: Does the MC ever find out the girls are real?

A: That’s the big question and honestly the only reason to keep reading past chapter 200.

Q: Is the MC dense/oblivious?

A: Very. But in a way that kind of makes sense given he genuinely believes the lives are simulations. Still frustrating though.

Q: Is the harem built fast or slow?

A: One girl per life, so it’s structured and paced — but that also means it gets repetitive after a while. Same formula, different girl.

Q: How’s the power system?

A: Standard xuanhuan fare. Nothing groundbreaking. The fights get stale faster than the romance does.

Q: Is it worth reading?

A: If it were complete, yes, easily. The concept alone carries the early chapters. But it’s ongoing, repetitive past the midpoint, and the translation is still behind raw. Best to put it on hold and wait for it to finish.

Q: Why did you drop it?

A: Not dropped, just on hold. It’s getting boring with the repetitive life arcs and the fighting padding, and since it’s not finished I’d rather wait and read it all in one go. The ending is genuinely what I’m curious about.
