I Became an Immortal on Mortal Realm Review
What to expect
MC gets reincarnated into cultivation world and has a cheat. Overpowered, never lost a battle. Never made a close call in a battle. Smart and humble. Not low-key. There are some one-sided late romances but no conclusion, as the MC does not have time for it. End of the novel but remained a virgin. It has 485 chapters, completed and fully translated.
Rreview
This is a Xianxia and Xuanhuan, as you can guess from the title. The initial chapters are exciting because of the MC’s chat, then it becomes boring as it’s the same old things. The MC has a helper that helps him from the shadows so the MC does not encounter many traumas; everything goes smoothly. Let’s skip to the end of the novel. The MC creates his own path at the very end after cultivating the standard way and spreads it on a very small scale, which is why I felt it was a bit similar to [Comprehension Ability: Creating and teaching the Dao in various worlds]. Both MCs comprehend and create their own skills or techniques and carve their own path, and both end the novel as virgins. Lastly, at the end, the MC kills the big enemy — the end.
Thoughts while reading
Chapter 22, Doesn’t feel that good. No excitement. Maybe because there was nothing new.
Chapter 151, It’s getting a bit interesting with all the skill-making.
Chapter 222, I forgot about this, but it seems any cultivation skill needs nothing but qi to work — even physique cultivation skills. Like, the only resource MC needs is qi. No pills, no special things for cultivating the super rare ultra-mystic custom fused physique that the MC just created. Don’t worry, there was no naming like that in the novel.
Chapter 227, It’s getting interesting now that gods are being mentioned.
Chapter 328, I don’t like the fact that he only learns attack-related skills. What about other skills? Alchemy? Talisman?
Chapter 463, Mortal to immortal in days? How? No logic.
Chapter 485, There was no proper conclusion; after the big fight there was just “the end of the book.”
FAQ
Does the MC have a harem?
No. There are a few one-sided romances that show up late into the story, but none of them go anywhere. The MC ends the novel as a virgin.
Is the MC overpowered from the start?
Yes. He reincarnates with a cheat, never loses a battle, and never really gets pushed into a corner. That’s just how it is here.
Does the MC follow a standard cultivation path?
For most of the novel, yes — but at the very end he breaks off from it entirely and creates his own cultivation path, which he spreads on a small scale.
Does the story have a proper ending?
Not really. After the final fight it just stops. No epilogue, no wrap-up.
Is alchemy or crafting involved?
Not from the MC’s side. He almost exclusively develops attack-related skills, which gets a bit repetitive after a while.
Do you need to read any prior novels to understand this one?
No. It’s standalone.
